Nguyễn Đức Cường (born on May 13, 1989), commonly known by the stage name Đen Vâu or Đen, is a Vietnamese male rapper and musician. Đen Vâu has won the Dedication Award and is one of the few successful artists from the underground and indie music scene in Vietnam. He owns songs that have garnered millions of views on YouTube and has received several music awards. Nguyễn Đức Cường was born in 1989 in Đồng Nai province, Vietnam. Cường was raised in Quảng Ninh for most of his childhood. During his time in high school, Cường discovered his passion for writing rap songs and began performing them at school events. Due to his family's financial hardships, he was unable to pursue higher education after completing high school. Instead, Cường found employment as a waste collector to support himself and his family. After venturing into a professional career in rapping, he adopted the stage name Đen Vâu or simply Đen. Read more on Last.fm.
