世界を撃った男 case 4 デリンジャー
ケミカルピクチャーズ (Chemical pictures) was a rock band from Japan formed in 2008 by Tenten, ex-vocalist of KuRt. He started a project with guitarists Joe and Schwarz, and American bassist Jimi. The band began their activities at the end of 2008, and released their first demo CD, In My Dream, in July of 2009. On September 23rd, 2009, the group released their first single entitled Präparat, which included three tracks; the single sold out immediately. In late 2009, they announced they were going on a hiatus since lead guitarist Schwarz was leaving the band. Later that year, they announced that they had found a new member in the form of Shiun, their permanent drummer, after having previously worked with support drummers. Joe also switched from rhythm to lead guitar. In March of 2010, the band announced that they were going to release five new EPs during the summer of 2010; one new EP each month starting from May to September. The main title for all the releases is 世界を撃った男 (Sekai wo utta otoko), all were released via SPEED-DISK Records. In May of 2010, shortly before the release of the first EP, the band announced that their lineup would be completed by rhythm guitarist Billy. However, a mere few weeks later it was announced that Billy would be leaving the band due to his unstable physical condition. On June 12th & 13th, 2010, Chemical Pictures performed in Seoul, South Korea together with ダウト. In September of 2010, the band announced that Rui would be their new rhythm guitarist, and that they would be releasing a new mini-album in early 2011. On November 8th, 2010, the group's bassist, Jimi, announced that he would be leaving Chemical pictures on December 20th, 2010. Jimi stated that his reason for leaving was because he had yet to obtain his visa, and that he wanted to pursue a more stable life. Then in late December 2010, the band welcomed their new bassist Taku, whom would complete the band's lineup. Along with the news of a new bassist, the band announced they would be opening their official fanclub, Pictures, in January of 2011. It also seemed apparent that the band had joined a label, FRONT MISSION. After going on hiatus in the summer of 2012, Chemical Pictures officially disbanded on December 24, 2012.
