Chanels (シャネルズ) is the older name of the blackface doo wop band Rats & Star (ラッツ&スター), the group wad led by Masayuki Suzuki (鈴木雅之). In 1975, Masayuki Suzuki, Masashi Tashiro (田代まさし) and Nobuyoshi Kuwano(桑野信義), joined together to form a band called Chanels. The band debuted in 1980 with their first single ランナウェイ selling over a million copies and becoming a huge hit.
