Be Happy Koi No Yajirobee
タンポポ (Tanpopo, meaning dandelion) was a Japanese pop group formed in 1998. They were the first subgroup made from members of Morning Musume (モーニング娘。). The original three members were Kaori Iida (飯田圭織), Aya Ishiguro (石黒彩), and Mari Yaguchi (矢口真里). They released songs with a sexy, mature vibe. Their song Last Kiss (ラストキッス) was used as the first ending theme to the anime series Sorcerous Stabber Orphen. The lineup lasted until Ishiguro's departure from Morning Musume in early 2000. Yaguchi and Iida performed Tanpopo's songs as a duet in concerts until new members were added later that year. They were two of the four newest Morning Musume members, Ai Kago (加護亜依) and Rika Ishikawa (石川梨華). Four member Tanpopo had a bouncier sound, but still had a flare of a more mature image than Morning Musume. In the summer of 2002 the group was restructured again. Ishikawa was promoted to leader with the departures of Iida, Yaguchi, and Kago. Added to the group were new Morning Musume members Asami Konno (紺野あさ美) and Risa Niigaki (新垣里沙), as well as Melon Kinenbi (メロン記念日) member Ayumi Shibata (柴田あゆみ). This new lineup only released one single, but performed in concerts up until 2003. With no activity since, the group is considered to be on indefinite hiatus. Read more on Last.fm.
