ピーター (Peter; also known as 池畑 慎之介 (Ikehata Shinnosuke)), born August 8, 1952, is Japanese singer, dancer, actor and overall entertainer. He has appeared in various movies such as Akira Kurosawa’s 乱 (Ran) and Toshio Matsumoto’s薔薇の葬列 (Bara no Sōretsu; Funeral Parade of Roses) and made voice-acting for videogames such as Drakengard and for the film Death Note. He also has made appearances in TV variety shows and musical revues, as well as in commercials. The stage name ‘Peter’ dates back all the way to his youth when the then 16-year-old Shinnosuke’s attire for clubbing was said to be similar to Peter Pan's style of dress. Read more on Last.fm.
