Aya Kamiki (上木 彩矢, Kamiki Aya), born 塚田綾子 (Tsukada Ayako) on September 10th, 1985, in Sapporo, Japan, is a J-Pop singer. Inspired by Western artists such as Michelle Branch and Avril Lavigne, Aya has been performing and writing her own songs since a young age, most of which have a light-rock sound. Aya began her music career as indie artist 久里夢 (Kurimu/KLIM), releasing a single in 2003 and a mini-album in 2004. She then released two indie mini-albums in 2005 under the stage name 上木彩矢. On March 15, 2006, Aya debuted as a major artist under GIZA studio with her first single Communication Break. Aya released three original albums and ten singles with GIZA before switching to avex trax in 2009.
