｢世界は二人のために｣ ("Sekai wa Futari no Tame ni; The World is Meant for Two) is the début single of Japanese singer Naomi Sagara (佐良直美), with lyrics written by Michio Yamagami (山上路夫) and composition by Taku Izumi (いずみたく), released 15 May 1967 on Victor Records, Japan. Sagara won the 1967 Japan Record Award's Best New Artist award for the single, and it also gained Sagara a spot at the annual singing competition, Kohaku Utagassen, the same year. Naomi Sagara (相良直美, born 10 January 1945) is a Japanese singer, TV personality, and actress from Tokyo. Sagara made her début as a recording in 1967 with the single Sekai wa Futari no Tame ni (｢世界は二人のために｣). She retired from singing in 1987. Read more on Last.fm.
