Jigokue (地獄絵) is a Japanese visual kei band under the kote kei subgenre. They have been active since 1996. The band was formed in 1996 by vocalist and then guitarist RARE (レア) and bassist DOLL (ドヲル) who would later be known as CHAOS9. Between 1998 and 2000, NAYUTA (ナユタ) and SHIKI (シキ) switched the guitarist position a few times, since both of them left and rejoined the band more than once. In September 2001, neither Nayuta or Shiki came back and LYDIAN6 became the guitarist. DOLL also changed his name to CHAOS IX. Intially, Jigokue disbanded in 2002, but Rare decided to bring back the band with new support members in 2013. Jigokue's music has been described as gothic/rock and their visuals are rather a good example of the 90s dark, spooky, and gloomy kote kei. MEMBERS Vo.
