孤独的利里 or Lonely Leary is a three-member rock band, formed in Jinan, Shandong in the summer of 2012 by Qiu Chi (邱驰) (vocals & bass), Song Ang (宋昂) (guitar) and Li Baoning (李保宁) (drums), who studied instruments together in college. The three started by covering songs of Chinese and foreign punk bands, and then gradually turned to post-punk and began to write Chinese songs. In the following two years, several people came to Beijing one after another, and from the end of 2014, they began to be active in the Beijing independent music scene frequently, and gradually formed their signature style of mixing fast drums, rough bass and sharp guitar noise into tense and aggressive heavy hits. In the fall of 2016, the band signed with Maybe Mars Records, and the following year Yang Haisong completed the first album Through the Park and You're There, which was released in early 2018 and was shortlisted for the annual record inventory of music media such as NPR MUSIC, Beehype, Xiami Music, and Abilu Music Awards. In the summer and autumn of the same year, the band held its first China tour and European tour respectively. In early 2019, the band released two Split seven-inch vinyl records and recorded their second album in early 2020.
