Miyamoto Karin (宮本佳林) is a solo singer upon Up Front. She was first introduced at the 2008 Hello! Project Shinjin Kouen 11gatsu ~Yokohama JUMP!~ concert in November 2008 as a winner of the Up-Front Egg Audition and became a member of Hello! Project as a Hello! Pro Trainee. In June of 2009 Miyamoto Karin took part in the stage play Ojigi de SHAPE-UP!, the sequel to Ojigi 30 do Degrees, with fellow Hello! Project members Takeuchi Akari, Takahashi Ai, Michishige Sayumi, Tanaka Reina, and Kamei Eri. Also in 2009, Karin became part of the new revival for Minimoni, called Shin Minimoni. She participated in the 2011 S/mileage auditions and for Morning Musume's 11th generation in 2012, but was not chosen to enter the groups. In 2013 it was announced that Miyamoto would debut in a new unit, Juice=Juice, along with Tomoko Kanazawa (金澤朋子), Yuka Miyazaki (宮崎由加), Sayuki Takagi (高木紗友希), Aina Otsuka (大塚愛菜) and Akari Uemura (植村あかり). In 2020 she announced her graduation of the group to pursue the solo career, however it was postponed due to the government's declaration of emergency following the spread of COVID-19 getting worse. She stated that she wanted to graduate in front of an audience, and thus made the decision to postpone their graduations from June 3rd to December 10 at Juice=Juice Concert 2020 ~Tsudzuiteiku STORY~ Miyamoto Karin Sotsugyou Special in Nippon Budokan.
