"One More Time, One More Chance" (stylised as "One more time,One more chance") is a single by Japanese singer Masayoshi Yamazaki that was released on January 22, 1997, on the Polydor Japan label. It peaked on the Oricon weekly singles chart at No. 18 and charted for 24 weeks. The song was originally used as a theme song in The Moon and a Cabbage, a 1996 film starring Yamazaki himself. Masayoshi Yamazaki (山崎まさよし, Yamazaki Masayoshi) (born 山崎将義 Yamazaki Masayoshi on December 23, 1971 in Kusatsu Shiga, Japan) is a Japanese singer-songwriter who plays guitar-driven blues, rock, and pop music, though he has also recorded piano ballads. Though he primarily plays the guitar, he also has played the drums, piano, percussion, saxophone, and glockenspiel on some albums.He released his first single 月明かりに照らされて in 1995 He released his second album in 1997, which contained his breakout and most famous single One More Time, One More Chance. In recent years, he has been releasing live albums and greatest hits compilations. In 2007, One More Time, One More Chance was used as the theme to Makoto Shinkai's anime 5 Centimeters Per Second.
