なわけで、それがし打首獄門同好会ですよろしくダカダダンジャーン

Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai (打首獄門同好会) is a three-piece punk band formed in Japan in 2004. While active within Japan under the kanji name '打首獄門同好会' (Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai) which roughly translates in English as Prison Gate Beheading Fanclub, they operate internationally under the more easily pronounceable name 'GOKUMON.' According to the band's official biography, the name was chosen during a name-planning meeting when the band was first formed. Asuka Kawamoto (drums) suggested, I want a Japanese-sounding name...like Chonmage Trio. (chonmage is the top-knot of hair traditionally worn by samurai). In response, Atsushi Osawa (guitar/vocals) jokingly suggested a number of alternatives: Uchikubi Gokumon Lovers' Club, Seppuku Protection Organization, or Lifelong Toshima Cooperative Association. The name was simply chosen because it sounded Japanese, and was simply a random quote from a line from the TV show Toyama no Kin-san, which Osawa's father often watched.
