Asuca Hayashi, born on May 28, 1989, is a singer, and more recently songwriter. She is half-Chinese and half-Japanese, but more frequently performs songs in Japanese. Debuting at the young age of 13 with the single, ake-kaze, which saw a simultaneous release in Taiwan and Japan in 2003, Asuca has since released 3 albums, one mini album, and ten singles as of April 9, 2007. Asuca landed a contract with Toshiba EMI at the age of 11 after her piano teacher sent in a demo tape.
