Akito Katayose (片寄 明人) is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and producer born on May 23, 1968. He began his career in music in 1991 as the singer of the band Rotten Hats. After Rotten Hats disbanded in 1993, he became guitarist and singer for the band Great3, which debuted in 1995. He has numerous side projects with various artists (such as the duet with his wife Chocolat & Akito and the duo Sons of with John McEntire) and also debuted as a solo artist under the name Akito in 2000.
