Shibuki Maho / 眞帆志ぶき (5 Feb 1933 - 9 Mar 2020) was a male role player (otokoyaku) with Japan’s all-female Takarazuka Revue (1952-1975). She was one of the greatest stars of her era - tons of charisma and a magnificent singer with a huge gorgeous voice. After leaving Takarazuka she remained active as a singer until 2014. Her final public performances, at the age of 81, were given as part of Takarazuka’s 100th anniversary celebrations. In the earlier part of her career the Japanese spelling of her stage name was ‘真帆志ぶき’ (a different kanji for the ‘Ma’ syllable/mora of her name). She was also known by the nickname ‘Suutan’ (スータン).
