Japanese singer-songwriter Mai Fukui 福井舞 (born on December 17, 1984 in Kyoto, Japan) made her major label debut with the theme song to TBS's highly anticipated Koizora drama series in 2008. The song is a ballad titled Ai no Uta and went on sale on August 20. She sent out her first demo tape, catching the attention of Avex and her current management agency. She moved to Tokyo in February, and three months later TBS offered her the chance to sing for Koizora.
