Sue (simplified Chinese: 苏运莹; traditional Chinese: 蘇運瑩; pinyin: Sū Yùnyíng; born 8 April 1991 in Sanya City, Hainan Province, China), is a Chinese singer-songwriter who graduated from the Beijing Contemporary Music Academy. In 2014, she released her first original song titled 心事 (Feelings). In 2015, she achieved the runner-up position in the national finals of the second season of CCTV-3's Sing My Song. In the same year, her song 野子 (Wild Child) won the Most Eye-Catching Song of the 16th Chinese Music Media Awards . In December of that year, she released her debut personal album 冥明 (Bright Darkness). In 2016, Sue participated in the 2016 season of the Hunan Television show I Am a Singer Season 4. She also received the Best Newcomer Award at the 16th Music Radio Awards, and was nominated for the Best New Artist Award and Best Mandarin Female Singer at the 27th Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan. In 2017, she released a cover of 路过我耳朵的忧伤 (Sorrow Passing By My Ears). During the same year, she also sang the promotional song 蓝孩子 (Blue Child) for the Chinese release of the animated movie Smurfs: The Lost Village. On December 13, 2018, Sue released her second solo music album 幻 (Fairyland). On July 19, 2020, she released the promotional song 天涯为家 (Home is wherever one roams), which was performed with 陈楚生 (Chen Chusheng) for the 6th Asian Beach Games. On January 20, 2021, Sue released her solo single 南燕 (Nan Yan). On July 12, she sang the ending song 我们 (US) for the web series 北辙南辕 (Crossroad Bistro). In August, she released the self-titled album 苏运莹. In 2022, Sue sang the episode song Darling Darling of the TV series 余生, 请多指教 (The Oath of Love).
