麻早
Takagi Masa (高木麻早) is a singer-songwriter. She made her debut in 1973 after winning a prize in the 5th Yamaha Popular Song Contest. She graduated from Aichi University of Education Nagoya Junior High School, Aichi Shukutoku High School, and Aichi Shukutoku Junior College, where she majored in Japanese Literature. Her singing ability was noticed even while she was in high school, so much so that she was invited to appear on the show for the Nagoya-born duo Cherish. In May 1973 , she participated in the 5th Yamaha Popular Song Contest and won the Best Vocal Performance Award with her song Hitoribocchi no Heya. She launched a pre-campaign with a flexi disc from Kanto Pony, nicknamed Cupid's Whisper. On September 10 of the same year, she made her debut with the song on Canyon Records under the Yamaha Music Foundation. Her catchphrase was Idol of the Folk World . Hitoribocchi no Heya sold over 400,000 copies, and her first album, Takagi Masa, won the Oricon Newcomer Award . In 1985, she suspended his musical activities.
