With Love, J
Jessica Jung (born April 18, 1989 in San Francisco, California), known professionally as Jessica, is a Korean-American singer, actress, model, businesswoman, and former member of the South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. In August 2014, Jessica launched her own fashion line, Blanc & Eclare. Jessica was born in San Francisco, California. While on vacation in South Korea, she and her sister, Krystal, were spotted in a shopping mall by a member of SM Entertainment; she later joined the company in 2000. She spent seven years as a trainee before debuting as part of the Korean girl group Girls' Generation. Her younger sister, Krystal, is a member of the Korean girl group f(x). Jessica is a native speaker of American English and gained fluency in Korean after moving to South Korea at the age of 11 to pursue her entertainment career. In February, Jessica announced that her first solo album would be released under her new agency, Coridel Entertainment. Jung wrote and composed four of the six tracks from the album. The name of the extended play was revealed to be With Love, J, and was released on May 17, 2016, along with the title track, Fly (feat. Fabolous). The album ranked first on the Hanteo Weekly Chart and Gaon Weekly Album Chart. On December 10, 2016, Jessica released a special winter album titled Wonderland. All six of the tracks on the album had lyrics penned by Jessica, including title track Wonderland. She later released an English version of the title track. 2017 marked Jessica's tenth anniversary as a part of the South Korean music industry (she debuted with Girls' Generation in 2007). As part of her special anniversary gift to her fans, Jessica released a pre-release single from her upcoming album called 봄이라서 그래. Five of six songs on the album had lyrics penned by Jessica. Her tenth year anniversary album, My Decade, was released on August 9 along with the title track Summer Storm. The album drew controversy for being released on the same day as Girls' Generation's Holiday Night. Read more on Last.fm.
