"It's Over Now" is the lead single by group 112's from third album, Part III, and their first #1 R&B single, peaking at #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks for 2 weeks. It peaked at #6 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in March 2001. Slim and Daron share lead vocals on the song. The song contains an interpolation of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's song "White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)", which was also used by the hip hop group Mobb Deep for their biggest hit "Quiet Storm" released over a year prior to It's Over Now. 112 (pronounced One-TWELVE) is an American R&B quartet from Atlanta, Georgia. They are best known for hit singles such as Anywhere and Dance With Me, and for winning a Grammy for their collaboration I'll Be Missing You with Puff Daddy and Faith Evans. Formerly artists for Sean P. Diddy Combs' Bad Boy Records, the group left Bad Boy and signed to the Def Soul roster in the early 2000s. The groups is made up of members Daron Tavaris Jones, Michael Marcel Keith (aka Mike), Quinnes Diamond Parker (aka Q), and Marvin Eugene Scandrick, III (aka Slim), which all have known each other since childhood and have been singing together since high school.
