Made for This

ASN walks the thin line between an introspective, Underground Hip Hop Artist and a potential Pop icon, showcasing his lyricism and versatility by successfully incorporating Rock & Roll, Reggaetone and R&B into his music, utilizing both the sample-based music that Hip Hop is known for as well as the irreplaceable feel of actual live instrumentation. In 2005, ASN put together his first semi-professional effort, Evolution, selling around 1,000 CDs walking the streets of Boston (one of the most unsupportive Hip-Hop scenes) and performing at shows all over MA, RI and NH. The album and its response caught the interest of Hendricks Management Group, who decided to take ASN from the home-studio into professional studios, professional production and the marketing of his last release titled Made For This. In addition to the progress with his recordings, ASN has also worked with internationally-known artists such as The GZA, Raekwon and Killah Priest of The Wu-Tang Clan, Freeway (of Jay-Z's Rocafella Records), The Clipse, Noreaga (N.O.R.E. of Capone-N-Noreaga), AZ, Cam'Ron, Warren G, Smif N Wessun, Immortal Technique, Special Teamz, Henny of Boot Camp Click's O.G.C. (Originoo Gun Clappaz), Tragedy Khadafi, Masta Ace, Made Men, Akrobatik, Krumbsnatcha, Singapore Kane and countless other Boston acts. He has participated in and won many freestyle battles and performed in countless shows through-out the New England area. His music has been featured on mix-tapes alongside Jay Z, Nas, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West, Fabolous and many, many others. The debut single from Made For This, aptly titled Road To Success (featuring Hip Hop heavy-weight AZ) shot to #2 on the US College Radio charts and received heavy play on radio stations and in clubs all over the world. “Smash Em” reached #3 on those same charts. His song Bigger, Badder (AKA Made For This) was featured on Spike TV's Blue Mountain State and his song Eyes On the Prize (AKA If You Want It) was featured on Vin Diesel's “Wheelman” video-game for Play Station 3 and X Box 360. ASN is currently working on his Be The Cure project. Be The Cure is an album and movement for which 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the aid in cancer research and treatment. A number of labels and one of the largest distribution companies have expressed interest in releasing the project so be sure to stay tuned to our news section or sign up for our email list at www.ASNHipHop.com for more updates. Over the past few years, Amir “ASN” Nedjadi has shown his capability for making great music, linking with some of his genre's finest and gaining a worldwide audience without the backing of a major record label. Just imagine what he could do with one. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
