Looking the stars, together



There are at least 2 projects with this name: 1) Abricot is a trip-hop band from Belgium that later on transformed into colour kane, a shoegaze/dreampop band. The Abricot project is formed by Marjan, Bruno and Jirzji. Bruno and Jirzji are two old time music making buddies, who share a similar interest in music that differs somehow from their contemporaries, leading them to take up a musical quest, where the passion for a variety of string instruments and sound processors were a crucial element. After Jirzji came back from staying abroad for some years, realizing that not too much had changed, it was unavoidable that the former bond would rise again, resulting in the creation of the Abricot project. At this stage electronics and computer treatments were added with the sole intention of serving an atmospheric instrumental sound. A number of auditions were held, and shortly after Marjan joins in adding her saccharine vocals and lyrics to make it all fit as a puzzle. Their music is an hypnotic downtempo; atmospheric, chilled, jazzy, darkish, but specially beautiful. 2)Abricot is a French folk project. Read more on Last.fm.
