Darkness Inside



The band is formed 10/16/2001 in a Voronezh, Russia. Into structure have entered: Oleg Angel - vocal (ex-Nosferatus, ex-Fantazm ) Ratte - vocal, guitar (ex- Night Storm , ex-Nergal ) Alex Ignatov - lead guitar (ex-Vrata, ex- De Luxe ) Sergey Dukhanin - bass (ex-Attention ) Ilya Saveliev - drums (ex- Crazy days , ex-Necropsy ) In this structure the band writes down the two first demos: The Name of Evil 2001 and Theatre of pain 2002. Right after records of second demo Ratte dismiss from a band and take two new participants: Polina Bodryashkina - female vocal (ex-Attention, ex-Wishmaster ) Peter Penskoy - keyboards In this structure the group writes down the third demo Atlantida 2003 after which Peter abandons structure and in Absenth take new guitarist Vlad Hangman (Iggdrasil ) In 2004 Absenth prepare promo ReCreation of the world and in 2005 on a label VMH there is an album Love is dead . In this album styles have mixed up all: from heavy and gothic up to melodic death, but prevailing all also has remained old kind doom. The press compare an album with Tiamat times unforgettable Wildhoney, Crematory and Lake of tears. The small circulation is sold out in the shortest terms, songs Absenth include in many compilations, the new circulation prepares... And suddenly participants Absenth declare disintegration of a band. The structure disperses under various projects and comes half-year calm. But, as they say, piously the place is empty does not happen - in half a year after disintegration Oleg Angel declares the termination of the work with collective Fantazm and return of Absenth. In 2006 there is split-single Memory (WildSound Prod.), containing on three songs Absenth and Moscow doom band Letargy Dream. On concert platforms Absenth appear already in new structure: Oleg Angel - vocals, Ratte - vocals, guitars Tyg - bass (ex- Deformitas Pictura ), Kitty Doll - keyboards, Dmitry Paltsev - drums (ex- Little Dead Bertha ) In the beginning 2007 band abandons Dmitry Paltsev. New drummer of Absenth becomes Kain, already proved in work with projects Skyfall and Phobia. Absenth go round with concerts all Chernozem region Russia, acting with such bands as SHMELY, LITTLE DEAD BERTHA, ILLIDIANCE, PLAGUE PROJECT, TT-34, The PANT etc. The new album of band meanwhile prepares for release under the name Darkness inside.
