Haciéndolo Fino
Erick Raúl Alemán Ramírez was born on February 20, 1990, in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur. He began exploring rap at the age of 14 alongside his childhood friend MC King, with whom he formed a group called “2 Rimas.” A year later, they met DJ Phat, who joined the group, prompting them to change their name to “Doble Rima.” In 2009, they released an album titled Click Clack Punto Exacto. In 2010, MC King decided to take a break, leaving DJ Phat and Alemán to continue the project. A year later, they released a new record, Clasick Rap, which opened doors for them across Mexico. In 2013, Alemán began working on the album Pase de abordar at the “Ometusco Sound Machine” studio in Mexico City, with DJ Phat handling the production arrangements. The album was released in mid-2014 and is widely regarded as one of the year’s best. In 2016, Alemán released his second solo project, Rolemos Otro, which established him as a favorite rapper among Mexican youth. The album earned him spots at festivals like Ceremonia and Verano Plop Radio, while the single “Rolemos Otro” became a staple on the alternative radio station Reactor 105.7. That same year, Alemán recorded a special session for the station at IMER’s Studio A. Among his most notable songs are “La doble rimaldita,” “Rap Phenomenon,” “Por el Pacífico,” “Hip Hop Deporte,” “Otro día” (featuring Gera MXM), “La cuadra está caliente,” “Esta noche,” “Let me fly,” and “Rolemos Otro.” Read more on Last.fm.
