There multiple artists under variations of the name Amu 1) (ａｍＵ) A indie electro/technopop unit, formed in 2008, made up of aco and meru, two young women. Described as happy and colorful on their official website, they perform all over in Japan, in areas such as Nagoya, Tokyo, and Osaka. Being relatively new in the underground electronica scene, they've released three singles so far. 2) A South African rapper. He started rapping at a tender age; inspired by his father who bought him a hip-hop album in the early eighties while living in the United States. Upon his return to Soweto, where he was born, Amu found it very difficult to exercise his love for Hip Hop, being a foreign artform his friends thought it to be rubbish. But through all of this, giving up was never an option for this young man.
