Anacrusa is a folklore group from Argentina. It was formed in 1972, led by José Luis Castiñeira de Dios on Guitar, Charango and arrengements. Next to him, and always with the singular voice of Susan Lago (also composer and keyboardist), have been, at different stages, musicians like Patrice Mondon (violin), Jacky Tricore (guitar), Narciso Omar Espinosa (guitar), Raymond Guiot (flute), Pierre Gossez (sax), Tony Bonfil (bass), Andre Arpino (drums), Gustavo Moretto (trumpet), Juan Mosalini (bandoneon), Julio Pardo (flute), Bruno Pizzamiglio (oboe), Daniel Sbarra (electric guitar), Jorge Trasante (percussion), Phillipe Pages (synthesizer), Alejandro Santos (flute, tenor saxophone, flute and sikus), Hugo Pierre (soprano and alto saxophones, flute and clarinet), Ricardo Lew (electric and acoustic guitars) Enrique Zurdo Roizner (drums), Alan Ballan (bass) ... Anacrusa is without a doubt a genuine group ahead of its time, with a solid academic formation, explored the roots of Latin American music blending their folklore with elements of chamber music, jazz and rock. A search which also involved from different angles, different musicians as Manolo Juarez Gato Barbieri. After her first two albums, closer to traditional folklore, Anacrusa start to cross broader and bolder musical territories. With the arrival in 1976 of the military dictatorship in Argentina; Castiñeira de Dios and Susana Lago decide to exile in France, where they continue to develop their talent and record new albums.
