Aonua
AONUA are a musical collaboration from the South Pacific islands of New Zealand comprising Maori vocalist Taisha and composer/producer Malcolm Smith. Their music is a unique blend of Polynesian instruments, Maori vocals, native wildlife and nature mixed with modern instrumentation with the purpose of taking the listener away on a mystical South Pacific journey. It has been described as spiritual and healing. The lyrics are written in Maori (the indigenous people of New Zealand) and English so that the listener can hear the beauty of the Maori language while still understanding the meaning of the songs. Their self titled debut album Aonua was released in 2008. Artist Website: www.aonua.com MySpace: AONUA Read more on Last.fm.
