Martin L Stephenson has been working within many genres of sonic art for many years, under various pseudonyms, APOLLON being possibly his most avant garde, certainly his darkest. He utilises retro techniques, tape looping, found sound and live percussion to form cut up soundscapes and dark ambience, often using mantra and/or electronic voice phenomenon. Releases have included two album collaborations with the late MUSLIMGAUZE, Dark Thoughts and Year Zero {DOR}, Nox {Vuzh} , Aleatorical {DOR}, CROWNED AND CONQUERING CHILD {DOR}, WHORE {DOR}, THE BEAST {DOR}, EMERALD TABLET { DOR}, METABELIEF {EARTH MONKEY} and a collaboration with T.o.i.l/Wolfbane, Towers of silence {Advaita Audio}. Apollon has also featured on compilations such as DOR's earth: The elements series , Air, almanac and The Hermetic library anthologies. Apollon is also involved with the FONO art group, making short films and providing occasional soundtracks for other film makers, such as Martin Picton's Nothing Happened Today. Read more on Last.fm.
