The Aqualads first formed in the summer/fall of 1996. In 1997 their first EP Aqualads Xmas was released. The first full length recording Aqualads Hotbox was released in 1998, followed by their sophomore effort Aqualads Revenge in 1999. In 2003 Surf Surf Surf was released, gaining the band a wider audience. After playing hundreds of shows and festivals, contributing to various compilations and soundtracks, 2011 saw the release of Aqualads Treasures as well as An Oso Grande Christmas.
