Atumatu is a psychedelic-electronic project with progressive elements, inspired by Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Ulver and Nine Inch Nails amongst others. Founded by writer, producer and drummer Quinn Downton and amassing the skills of numerous talented guest musicians, currently Atumatu has released two albums - Duma and God Himself - with the Children of the Arbat EP as a companion piece to Duma. While Duma and Children of the Arbat places a thematic lens over a Stalinist USSR through use of samples to accompany the compositions, God Himself and other releases do not feature these themes. In the same way that Slipknot fans are affectionately referred to as maggots, Atumatu fans have been christened Dumasses. Read more on Last.fm.
