Boğaz'da Yangın Var
Ayda (born January 8th, 1990) is a Swedish recording artist, singer and songwriter. Raised in Gothenburg, she started singing at a young age. After coming on 2nd place in The Voice of Turkey in 2013, she signed with Sony Music Turkey and released her debut single Bogaz'da Yangin Var in January 2015. Shortly after the release of her single, Ayda decided to re-focus on her career in Europe. On April 16, Ayda released her second single DaM Di DaM in English independently. Ayda was born and raised in the small city of Gothenburg, located in the west coast of Sweden. She is one of three daughters born to a Persian father and a Turkish - Azerbaijani mother. Growing up in a household where singing and dancing often occurred, Ayda naturally fell interested in music at a young age.At the age of sixteen, with the help of her father, Ayda started to play the guitar and do songwriting. At the age of 18, Ayda and her family moved to the United Kingdom where her songwriting developed significantly. Having set up a home studio, Ayda frequently wrote and recorded songs, and would upload them along with covers on her Youtube Channel. In 2012 she auditioned for the Voice of Turkey but was eliminated at the battle performance. The following year Ayda was invited to audition again, and made it through to the finals. Aydas' popularity arose after her rendition of Turkish singer Halil Sezai's song Isyan. After coming 2nd place on The Voice 2013, Ayda moved to Istanbul and signed with major label Sony Music. She released her debut single Bogaz'da Yangin Var in January, 2015. Ayda emphasises on her wide cultural background and imports an ethnical style into her artistry. As Ayda grew up to a father who listened to classic rock bands such as, the Police, Prince, The Beatles, Queen, he also introduced Persian music. Ayda's interest for Turkish music came from her mother. One of Aydas' most biggest influences to songwriting and singing was Lauryn Hill. Having songwriting as a form of self expression throughout the years, Ayda has developed as an artist and is ready to take a step into the pop community. She is going back and forth between Istanbul and the UK, working on songwriting and releasing projects independently in English. Read more on Last.fm.
