On January 25, YG Entertainment announced that Ahyeon would be rejoining BABYMONSTER due to improvements in her health. The first mini-album BABYMONS7ER marks the official seven-member group debut. On August 14, it was announced through BABYMONSTER's Japanese website that they will be releasing their first Japanese digital single, Batter Up -JP Ver, on August 16. On September 23, YG Entertainment confirmed reports that BABYMONSTER had completed the recording and filming stages for their first full-length album.On October 8, it was announced that they would be releasing their first full-length album, DRIP on November 1. On May 26, YG Entertainment announced that BABYMONSTER will be releasing the pre-release single HOT SAUCE in July, another pre-release single in September, followed by their second mini album scheduled for October 1, which is only sung by 6 of the 7 members, as Rami has presumably gone on a temporary hiatus due to health complications/reasonings.
