Wide Eyes is the 12th track on OK, I'M SICK. It's about the sexual abuse of boys in the Catholic Church. The narrator's first love was Christ but he was betrayed by that love. 'Holding my life in your body' describes the young boy feeling like he was held by the Body of Christ while being molested. "True was the bride at the turn of our time" refers to multiple Gospels naming Christ the 'bridegroom' and in lyrical context, referring to those under the Church who didn't apologize for their corrupt priests until the turn of the century Read more on Last.fm.
