“Tonight Tonight” was written by Celeste during lockdown and depicts the throes of being in the early stages of a relationship. The song is the latest release from Celeste’s debut album "Not Your Muse" which entered the UK Official Artist Albums Chart at No. 1 in February, making the singer the first female British solo artist to reach number one with her debut album in five years. Celeste Epiphany Waite, known mononymously as Celeste, is a British-Jamaican singer and songwriter. Born in Los Angeles, California, on May 5, 1994, she was raised in the UK and is known for her soulful, jazzy R&B sound, often compared to artists like Amy Winehouse and Billie Holiday. She gained recognition after winning the BBC Music Awards and the Brit Award for Rising Star in 2019, and being named the BBC's Sound of 2020. Celeste began her career providing vocals for electronic producers and releasing music on SoundCloud. Her debut EP, The Milk & the Honey, was released in 2017 on Lily Allen's label, Bank Holiday Records. She signed with Polydor Records in 2018 and released her second EP, Lately, in 2019. Celeste's debut album, Not Your Muse, topped the UK charts in 2021. Celeste's music is characterized by her powerful vocals and poetic lyrics, often described as having a timeless quality.
