air ride + ❥attack [Explicit]

“air ride,” which is produced by Frankie Scoca (NewJeans, Erika de Casier), is structured around the reminiscent YouTube vlog structure of the early 2010s (“Um, hi guys / I just wanted to say a few words / It should be pretty quick and painless / Yeah”) before it breaks down into some pretty depressing musings. Fueled by some twinkling beats and a heavily familiar drum break, “air ride” takes some of the best from 90s-00’s R&B and retools it for the depressing digital era. Read more on Last.fm.

Chanpan is a New York City based Asian American band comprised of twins Lance & Matthew Tran and singer Grace Dumdaw. Chanpan was created in NYC’s Chinatown in October 2022 after the trio decided to begin busking together in Confucius Plaza for funsies. Since then, Chanpan has been featured on The New York Times’ T Magazine and Vogue as “a very cool New York Band”. Their debut single Jungle was released in September 2023 with an EP on the horizon.
