Hype Hip Hop



Blake James Turnell (born 1996), known professionally as Chillinit (stylised as ChillinIT), is a rapper from Sydney, New South Wales. Australian rapper Chillinit delivered his own weed-influenced hip-hop manifesto with the release of his 2018 debut album, Weed Women & Wordplay. 4 DaysBorn and raised in the Sydney suburb of Hurstville, Chillinit (aka Blake Turnell) first made a name for himself in 2016 with self-released online tracks. Taking influence from the U.K. grime scene, but delivering it with his own Australian slant, Chillinit broke out from the underground with the release of his 2018 debut album, Weed Women & Wordplay. Peaking at 18 on the national Australian charts, the release helped his profile explode, with the rapper becoming one the country's major grime MCs. 2019 saw Chillinit teaming up with Huskii for the release of 4 Days, while also delivering what would become the first fruit of his sophomore album, the single Ready for the Pain. At the beginning of 2020, Chillinit, dropped his second full-length, The Octagon, on his own 420 Fam label. Read more on Last.fm.
