Christopher Dimbo born October 1, 1998 age 26, better known online as ChrisnNxtDoor, is a Nigerian-American YouTuber, editor, streamer and artist. He is also a member of AMP. Chris grew up in Washington, D.C, later moving to Prince George’s County, Maryland. As a child, he had aspirations of becoming a WWE wrestler, an NBA player, and a meteorologist, but none of these dreams fully materialized. His interest in filmmaking began in high school when he attended a summer camp that introduced him to video editing through iMovie. After graduating from high school, Chris briefly attended community college before enrolling in film school. However, due to financial constraints, he left after a year and a half to pursue his passion independently. Chris started his YouTube journey in 2016, creating content while also working as an editor for other YouTubers. His breakthrough came when he connected with YourRAGE on Twitter, which led to consistent editing work for various creators. His unique editing style, especially in the NBA 2K community, helped him gain recognition, but he also faced setbacks. One of his early challenges was being scammed by SoLLUMINATI, who failed to pay him for his editing work. Despite this, the situation brought more attention to his talent, furthering his reputation in the community. In 2020, Chris joined AMP as an editor and on-screen member. His creativity and dynamic contributions to AMP videos, along with his humorous personality, quickly made him a fan favorite. Although he struggled with consistency and faced criticism from both fans and AMP members regarding his work output, his contributions to the group’s unique editing style were undeniable. Chris initially handled a large portion of AMP’s video editing before the arrival of Kenkles, who later took over as the lead editor, allowing Chris to focus more on his own content creation. Throughout his time in AMP, Chris has been open about his battles with self-doubt and perfectionism, which have affected his consistency in content creation. In a video titled What’s Happening to Chrisnxtdoor?, it was revealed that these struggles, combined with external pressures from his family, particularly his father, have made it difficult for him to fully embrace his career. In 2023, following his mother’s diagnosis with thyroid cancer, Chris became more determined to take control of his career. He began streaming consistently, rapidly gaining 100,000 followers on Twitch in a single month. He also launched his own show, showcasing his creativity and humor, which further cemented his status as a rising star in the content creation space. Chrisnxtdoor’s journey from an aspiring filmmaker to a central figure in AMP reflects his resilience and dedication. Despite setbacks, including personal struggles and career challenges, he remains a key contributor to AMP’s success.
