Manifest Destiny



Comunalien, pronounced common alien, consisted of Producer/Turntablist Nickels Hawkeye and Lyricist/Emcee, the late Reuben Antonio Paulson. They described their name by stating We're Common because we're hip hop, Alien because we're Christians. We're Common cause we're Christians, Alien because we're hip hop. The duo recorded a healthy amount of material prior to Paulson's unfortunate death on May 8th 1998. There have been three albums released at this point from Comunalien: Mastifest Destiny (2001 Syntax Records) Campus Earth (coming soon on Soundmind Artists & Distribution) (previously released on Mysterium Media Group/End of Earth Records in 2007) Comunique (coming soon on Soundmind Artists & Distribution) (previously released on Mysterium Media Group/End of Earth Records in 2009) There is material Reuben AP recorded in the past that will be featured on the forthcoming album from Dark Time Sunshine in 2012. Also, The Shake Down has a song that features Reuben AP due out in 2012 on Soundmind Artists & Distribution.
