Cybernetix is a Cape town based psychedelic trance/electronica act, consisting of Warren Phillips and Tim Hart. Tim and Warren both having studied audio engineering and being into electronic music for the past 8 years, Warren started his career playing various under ground electronic party’s in and around Cape town from the late ninety’s to 2003 when he was introduced to his first psy outdoor party and was completely blown away by the power and presence of true psychedelia. In this time he went off and studied whilst putting together a project studio and then started to write psy trance late 2004. During this period he met Tim working a day job, who had just returned from traveling Europe and had also been introduced to his first psy festival and was amazed by the complexity, and as he puts it “the extreme listening experience that is psy trance”. Being abroad he had been collecting progressive trance and being influenced by many different styles, but still very much interested in the psy scene. After working long hours in the studio they then decided to put their heads together and work as a full on psy trance act now known as Cybernetix. Since then they have teamed up with Organik Media who has show cased their work both indoor and outdoor in Cape town, with crowds receiving their music with open arms and dusty floors.
