The Mouse & The Mask

This song is based on a joke from the Aqua Teen Hunger Force series on season three, episode one. DOOM combines cryptic wordplay, food metaphors and obscure references with upbeat and lively instrumentals. Sofa King is both DOOM demonstrating and bragging about his rapping prowess. He toys with the listener, disses inferior “chain wearing” rappers and self deprecates. His tone in this album is decidedly more humorous and lighthearted than in his others. Read more on Last.fm.

DANGERDOOM was a musical collaboration between producer DJ Danger Mouse and rapper MF DOOM. Their first album, The Mouse and the Mask, was released in 2005, and followed by the Occult Hymn EP, available for free download from the Adult Swim website. The Mouse and the Mask was released on October 11, 2005 by Epitaph in the United States. It was also released by Lex Records in the United Kingdom on October 17, 2005, with different cover art. It was inspired by Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming (where it also received considerable advertising) and features guest performances by Ghostface Killah, Cee-Lo and Talib Kweli as well as character voices and clips from many Adult Swim shows. DANGERDOOM have also recently released the Occult Hymn EP.
