(1) An ambient/electronica/improv group from the UK, consisting mainly of guitarist Michael Bearpark and keyboardist/laptopist Os (Andrew Ostler). Official site darkroomtheband.net, Bandcamp page. Darkroom specialise in creating ambient music that stretches the definition of the genre to its limits in many directions: from quiet, introspective and naturalistic through celestial and melodic to intense, abrasive and synthetic. (2) An indie rock band from Winona Lake, Indiana. Five friends demonstrating an expression of eloquent chord progressions overlayed with dynamic instrumentation and pleasant vocal melodies - creating melodically driven musical movements containing elements of intensity as well as delicacy. MySpace page. (3) An 80's post-punk band from Canada. Consisting of: Alan Marks, Barry Lindal, Jeff Schmidt, Jim Gray and Tim Palmar. Their singer Jim Gray was an actor as well, who played one of the vampires (Lumpi) in the german TV series Der Kleine Vampir (The Little Vampire) (1985). They released two albums San Paku (1983) and A Test Of Time (1985) an EP and several singles. (4) Darkroom is an industrial act, that constructs noisy soundscapes. Darkroom (1) released their last full-length album, Fallout 4, on August 25th 2022. Darkroom (2) released their first full-length album, A Curious Excavation, in March 2007. Read more on Last.fm.
