There are at least three artists performing under the stage name Denise. 1. “[…]Electronics gewgaws, lo-fi melodies, “bedroom indie pop”, it’s a very soft voice, fragile, almost childish[…]” Denise is a solo project and counts the involvement of “few but trusted collaborators” that help her to set her songs. Since the birth of the project (April 2005), with the strong support of Alessandro, she recorded two demos and partakes in several festival and contests, like “Arezzo Wave campania”, “Six days sonic madness-campania selected”, “Today I’m rock 2006”, “Rock contest 2006”, “Ypsigrock 2006”, ”Comunicativo festival” and others. Denise played before artist like: Castanets, Songs for Ulan, Devics, Michael Roether and Dieter Moebius, Offlaga Disco Pax, Giorgio Canali, Arab strap. She appears with her songs in “Napoli Sound System vol.2”, “Rockaria compilation 2006” and “Rock Contest compilation 2006”. Actually she is working on the third ep while she plays in several places around Italy. 2. Denise is a Malagasy singer, winner of the 2014 edition of Island Africa Talent. The victory earned her a contract with Universal Music Group, which allowed her to record her first album. Recorded between Madagascar, France, Nigeria and Ivory Coast, and sung both in English and Malagasy, Tsara Joro is a testament to the singer's ability to merge different influences in a harmonious ensemble. Denise says she values unity, sincerity and boldness and hoped to convey that with Tsara Joro. She addresses primarily the African youth in its diversity, not last through collaborations with various like-minded artists. 3. Kim Jin Sil (Hangul:김진실: born January 11, 2001 in Houston, Texas), known mononymously as DENISE (데니스) is a Korean-American singer-songwriter under her own company DK Entertainment. She was formerly the main vocalist, and maknae of the girl group SECRET NUMBER (시크릿넘버), until she left the group in February 2022. On December 29, 2022 she debuted as a solo with her first EP Me before You. 4. Denise (full name Denise Mercica) is a Maltese pop singer-songwriter who participated in Malta's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest twice, in 2022 and again in 2024.
