There are at least two bands called Duds. 1. Duds are a self-contained four piece, centred on sharp bursts of rhythmical energy and intelligent musicianship. Hailing from Manchester, United Kingdom, and forming in early 2015, they have made consistent progress towards a distinctive, future-sound. Their lyrics comment on the human condition and arbitrary, sometimes strange scenarios or themes. 2. Duds were a short-lived (post) punk band from Utrecht, The Netherlands, active in the late 1970s. Forgotten by most, the band's main 'claim to fame' is the fact that Erik de Jong was in the line-up: the man who later achieved fame in The Netherlands and Belgium as the Dutch-language pop phenomenon Spinvis.
