There are multiple artists by the name Dune: 1. Dune is a German rave band founded in 1995 by Oliver Froning and Jens Oettrich. The group took its name from Frank Herbert’s science fiction novels. Their debut single, Hardcore Vibes, featured vocals by Froning’s 11-year-old cousin, Janine. The follow-up single, Are You Ready to Fly?, introduced the band's signature style characterized by high-pitched vocals and catchy melodies. In 1996, they released the album Forever, which featured classical-style compositions performed with the London Session Orchestra. After this release, lead vocalist Verena von Strenge left the band to pursue a solo career. In 1998, the band returned with new singer Vanessa Hörster and released Keep the Secret, followed by Electric Heaven, which did not perform well commercially. Verena von Strenge rejoined the group in late 1999. The single Dark Side of the Moon was released in anticipation of the album Reunion, which was ultimately shelved due to legal issues involving the single Heaven. The last known release by the band was Rainbow to the Stars 2003, a rework of their earlier hit. 2. Dune is the former alias of a Finnish demoscene tracker musician who later became known as Brothomstates. He adopted this name in the late 1990s and eventually signed with Warp Records. 3. Dune was used as an alias by British drum and bass artist Ray Keith during the early 1990s. 4. Dune is the name of an Indiana-based musician who recorded the album Road of Life in 2000. 5. Dune was an Australian power/progressive metal band that is now defunct. They recorded a demo titled The Eleventh Hour. 6. Dúné is a Danish indie rock band, not to be confused with the other acts named Dune. 7. Dune was a French band active during the 1970s. 8. Dune is also the name of a duo comprising Laurent Garnier and Pascal F.E.O.S. (Pascal Dardoufas). They released a single EP titled The Alliance EP, featuring trance and ambient electronic music. 9. Dune is a stoner rock band from Athens, Ohio, formed in 2011. Influenced by bands such as Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, The Sword, and Truckfighters, their music blends stoner metal with elements of soul and thrash. 10.
