Everyone Down Here
Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray form Earlimart, an indie rock singer/songwriter duo based out of Los Angeles, CA. The name comes from Earlimart, CA, a town located between Los Angeles and Fresno, CA. The punk rock style that could be heard in the band's earlier albums quickly transgressed into dreamy Lo-Fi compositions on Avenues EP. Espinoza's hushed vocals bears heavy resemblance Elliott Smith who also worked with and was a personal friend of the band's. In response to the sudden death of Smith, Earlimart's composed the 2004 album, Treble & Tremble as tribute album to the late artist. Their indie pop sound can also be compared artists like Grandaddy, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Stars, Matt Pond PA Other collaborators sometimes include: Jim Fairchild, Davey Latter, Joel Graves, Solon Bixler, Scotty McPherson, Brian Thornell, Suzie Vlcek (background vocals) Mike Shea (whistling) Read more on Last.fm.
