Second Hand Love
There is more than one band with the name Electra: an Israeli band, a German rock band, a band from Spain, and a Russian band, a recorder quartet, and an 80s Italo Disco project by Franco Falsini & Fred Zarr. 1. One of the oldest still active German rock-bands is electra hailing from Dresden. Founded in 1969 they are known for their adaptations of classical music as well as progressive rock. One of their best known tracks is Nie zuvor, a rather soft ballad. Some members of the band that had left returned later. The only member who was with electra since their founding is Bernd Aust. 2. Electra (אלקטרה) is an Israeli alternative band formed in Tel Aviv. Their music mixes pop, ska, rock and punk rock styles. Electra are: Nitzan Horesh (Vocals, Guitar), Doron Farhi (Bass, Vocals), and Boaz Wolf (Drums, Percussion). In the end of 2004, Electra had released its first mini-LP Come Inside followed by an EP of remixes to the title song. They went to tour in UK and Germany and the EP songs were signed to EMI Publishing. In 2006, the band had recorded Better Sound a single which was promoted with a video that became an instant hit on the Israeli TV music channel. Better Sound was Electra’s first work with producer Baruch Ben-Yitzhak, of the band Rockfour, that will later produce the band’s full length album. After a period of residency abroad, in 2010 the band signed to Israel’s leading alternative label Anova Records. The first single of the upcoming album, Coming to Get You! was released in March this year. Electra’s Second double-single of the upcoming album, “Dawn of Summer”, will follow shortly. 3. Electra is a band from Spain formed by Pau Roca (La Habitación Roja) and Natalia (Nosoträsh). 4. Electra is a band from Russia, now known as Elektraband. 5.
