Friedrich was born in Frankfurt/Oder in 1981. He spent his childhood in a in a small village in the Mecklenburgische Schweiz, a region in the Northeast of Germany. His first attempts in music he made as a bassist in an indie-band. In 1996 he discovered his intrest in electronic music. As 'Elfredo' he began to produce music with duby and tripy character. Later, he also added atmospheric drum'n'bass and Lounge to his repertoire. quickly the sound of his productions became harder and friedrich alias er.ic began to produce rapid and floor-oriented drum'n'bass. over the years Friedrich developed his skills, started djing and collected experiences in other music projects. meanwhile he works together with well-known producers and bands of the German and international drum'n'bass scene such as amaning (basswerk phunkfiction), sixsense (russia), hiten (Cologne) die spielwiese (frankfurt), cruel cultures and cut (funky forces) and released on diverse online-labels. Also in the scene of rostock he is active as er.ic and hands his knowledge down to others in workshops. in addition he works as a vj. 2006 first vinyl releases are planned. Parallel to that his solo project elfredo came into being in 2005 with which friedrich could live out his passion for idm, ambient and clicks & cuts. in his dj-sets and liveacts he combines jazz, electro and indi-pop with a fair portion of deepness and brings relaxation into the chillout-areas of clubs and festivals.
