Fadoul was a Moroccan funk pioneer active in the 1970s, known for fusing James Brown-style grooves with Arabic lyrics and North African rhythms. Based in Casablanca, he recorded raw, garage-influenced tracks like Sid Redad—an Arabic take on Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag.
