There are at least six artists sharing the name of Flare: 1) Flare is a popular Croatian rock band, founded in 1998. by siblings Anđa Marić (lead vocal) and Jeronim Sabolcz (Jerko) Marić (guitar). 2) Flare are songwriter/vocalist LD Beghtol and multi-instrumentalist Charles Newman. Based in NYC they blend classic pop with experimental, classical, country music and noise. Flare have released two albums to date 'Bottom' & 'Hung'. Beghtol's vocals attracted the attention of Stephin Merritt (Magnetic Fields). Beghtol sings lead vocal on three of the tracks on the Magnetic Fields' 69 LOVE SONGS. The band from Bergen consists of Tiam Dee (Vocals & Programming), Chris Star (Guitar, Bass, Synth, Back Vocals) and Baz Owen (Drums). In may 2005 Flare released their debut album 'In Search of Fame' in Norway. They have toured the UK four times and China once to fantastic feedback. In 2008 they released their second album called Lost From Love. In november the will be touring China again. 5) Flare is also an artist name for Daniel Souza born in mexico city, a progressive house project with a unique groove. Consolidated in the electronic mexican scene thanks to his tracks published in the most important mexican labels as well as his presentations around all the country sharing stage with the best exponents, always being the perfect tonic for the dancefloor, a mix of powerfull basses with a fresh atmosphere and rythms filled with groove.
