In 2003 they won the Best Live Album trophy at the Australian Live Music Awards. Fruit are Mel Watson (lead vocalist, horn player, song writer), Susie Keynes (lead vocalist, guitarist, song writer) and Sam Lohs (lead vocalist, acoustic guitarist, song writer). They released the album Exposures Left in 1999. 5. Fruit is an experimental/improvisatory musician from Sydney, Australia. 6. Fruit are a six-piece post-rock band based in the North-West of England (Manchester/Liverpool), formed in 2022. Their sound is characterised through, swathes of dissonance, noise, and poetry, thus far culminating in the release of 3 singles, ‘Bleak’, The International’ and ‘Finn’s Song’. Their reputation for an aggressive and hectic live sound , described in RGM as “angry, to mournful to delicate and back again” has led to gigs throughout the northwest, as well as Sheffield, Leicester and Brixton’s iconic Windmill venue.
